This wedding has absolutely everything that makes my heart skip a beat. DIY details in every direction, gorgeous views, an incredible group of guests, epic string lights lighting their reception, and sparklers! The root and reason for it all – the incredible bride and groom Marianne and Colin. I did a venue walk-through with these two just a few weeks prior to their wedding. I saw gorgeous pastures with lots of potential, but never could have imagined what they were able to pull together.

The wedding took place at a private residence in Longmont, Colorado called Autumn Hill Equestrian Ranch. Their entire wedding was open-air with the exception of a small ‘cocktail-hour’ area set up inside a gorgeous, brand new stable barn. The ceremony took place in a field that backed up to a nature-made arch of oak trees that must’ve been planted on the property at least 100 years ago. The reception took place in the lawn of a barn and had a hand-made bar, dance floor and gorgeous globe string lights lighting the entire thing!

My favorite personal touch of the wedding day was that the brothers of the bride wrote and performed a song for the newlyweds both during their ceremony and for their first dance.

You can see by the photos that Marianne and Colin’s wedding really came together beautifully – and I could rave on and on about how lovely it was, but I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

A large majority of this wedding magic was pulled together from all of the DIY details that the bride, groom and all of their friends helped pull together – but special mention to all of the vendors involved in their special day!
