Having the opportunity to photograph Anastasia and Barrett’s gorgeous fall wedding at Willow Ridge Manor felt like fate. I was scheduled to photograph another wedding on her date, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions that wedding had to be postponed. A month before her wedding, the photographer they had originally hired to photograph their wedding day had to cancel and I ended up being available last minute to photograph her wedding after all!
When Anastasia expressed to me that she loved candid in the moment photos I knew we would be a perfect fit. I definitely take a documentary approach when photographing weddings and I only prompt or pose people during formal portrait time with family or to encourage playful interactions when doing bridal party or couples photos. This was 100% their vibe so we were able to create beautiful photos of their wedding day!
Their pups, Cato and Ares, even got to join in for some photos after the ceremony! I absolutely loved meeting these two and learning about what led them to their wedding day. My favorite story is that Barrett proposed to Anastasia with a ring pop before giving her the real ring. Here is their proposal story in the bride’s words
The Proposal:
“We were heading to Thanksgiving at Joe’s house. We were in charge of bringing wine and dessert. As I got out of the car, I was hugging all the wine bottles. Barrett asked me to put the wine down to grab the dessert instead. After what felt like forever of trying to figure out how to put the wine down without breaking all the bottles, I turned around and he was on one knee with a ring pop (we always joked he would propose with a ring pop). I said yes and he put the ring pop on my finger and then presented the real thing.” – Anastasia

Review from Anastasia:
“I am incredibly happy with how the photographs turned out. Sharee was phenomenal to work with. I originally had a contract with another photographer and was looking for galleries to show them of what I am looking for when I stumbled upon Sharee’s gallery and fell completely in love. As luck would have it, our photographer cancelled a month before our wedding so I reached out to Sharee and she was so professional and so kind to work with us on such short notice. I am so happy she was available on our wedding date.”
