Second time is the charm! On our first venture up the mountain in Boulder for Gina and Mike’s engagement photos we were met with the craziest wind gusts I’ve ever experienced. As you would expect, wind gusts don’t typically pair well with couples when they’re standing cliff side. When you’re a Boulder, Colorado engagement photographer you just have to roll with the weather sometimes. Thankfully, the date we rescheduled to was one of the warmest weather days in Boulder, Colorado in weather history. We had temps in the 70ºs (unheard of in March!) and the wind wasn’t crazy, but was there enough to create some gorgeous ‘model hair’ wind as I like to call it!
It was pretty neat that their Engagement session had not only sunny skies, but snow on the ground from a snow storm earlier in the week and a totally epic golden sunset. We started off cliff-side, frolicked through the snowy forest area and ended the evening on the hiking trail down below at Chautauqua which was absolutely breath taking with the sunset.
I’m so excited for these two and their am sure that their Woodland Park wedding that they have planned for the fall will be as darling as they are!
