Mary + Alex | Longmont Colorado Backyard Wedding Photographer
Every time I blog a wedding, my heart is flooded with incredible memories and moments from the day. This post especially makes me giddy, and teary eyed, on so many levels. I met with Mary + Alex over a year ago, and they were the sweetest, kindest, most genuine and authentic couple. I knew from the moment I met them, and even more so after their engagement session (here) that their wedding day was going to be one for the books.
There are so many stand-out moments from Mary + Alex’s wedding day, so I’ll do my best to keep it to the highlights and let the photos tell the rest of the story.
Mary + Alex knew that they didn’t want to do a first look and see each other prior to their ceremony, but they did want to share an intimate moment together. They chose to do a “no-look-first-look” where they sat back to back and shared hand-written love notes with each other.
Throughout the wedding day there were many personal touches, but the biggest one was the venue. Mary + Alex were married in the backyard of the Carlson’s residence with a stunning backdrop of the Colorado Rocky Mountain’s and the most beautiful blue-skied, fluffy clouded September day there ever was.
Oh. My. GOODNESS. Caps-lock necessary. Let me just tell you, when you take a ravishing bride, a striking groom, add two horses and throw in an epic mountain backdrop it can make a photographer just die. Right there on the spot. Thankfully, we all survived and the photos are just too epic for word’s to describe so I’m sure you’re ready to get to scrolling!
But first, one last thing. The guests. Oh boy, the guests. You know you’re in incredible company when the reception begins with four of the most love filled, sentimental and heart felt toasts there ever were and ends with over 100 guests still there, ready to send you off on your honeymoon with a massive, epic sparkler tunnel.
