Even though the majority of the weddings and elopements I have photographed have been in the Denver, Colorado area I am always up for a little adventure. This beautiful state I live in is just too incredible not to explore every mile of it, so when Steffany and Karl asked me to be their Ouray Colorado Wedding photographer I was elated and jumped on the opportunity! This lovely couple along with all of their guests are actually from the Denver area as well, but once you see Ouray it’s next to impossible not to fall in love with it. They don’t call Ouray Colorado the Switzerland of America for nothing! Steffany’s biggest wish for her wedding day was to get married surrounded by mountains on every side along with all of the people who loved her, and that wish certainly came through. Karl + Steffany got ready and held their reception at the Great Western Hotel in Ouray Colorado, but held their ceremony in a small church in town since religion holds a big importance in their heart and relationship. After their sweet ceremony we explored the small town of Ouray together by seeing the ice crystals, overlooks, waterfalls and trails that the town had to offer – it was jaw droppingly beautiful as you can see! Then, the couple danced in to the night with all of their closest people. It was the perfect intimate, beautiful Colorado wedding.
