Madisyn + Grady had a beautiful Piney River Ranch Wedding nestled deep in the mountains of Vail, Colorado this past June. After a Colorado winter that felt like it would never end (don’t worry, I still love winter weddings – but June should not be Winter in any circumstance ever at all) the summer sun finally rolled in just in time for this gorgeous wedding day! It was like shooting a wedding while living inside of a post card. The Gore Range Colorado Rocky Mountains were still perfectly covered in snow from the storms that were happening just a week prior (yes, in late June – crazy stuff!) but it was 80+º outside and perfect.
It wasn’t just the fantastic weather that made their Piney River Ranch wedding day oh so good, it was so much more than that. It was in their playful connection and the way they laughed together, in the fact that their parents and their pets were all incorporated in to their wedding ceremony, it was in the tears that Grady’s sister (who made for the best ever groomsmaid, for the record) while her brother shared his vows with Madisyn, it was in their epic choreographed first dance together and so so much more.
Piney River Ranch is a stunning place to have a wedding without doing much to it, but that didn’t stop this bride and groom from spicing it up with amazing colorful details. Their wedding altar was a floral semi-circle that sat on the deck outside of their reception lodge. The reception space was filled with long, family style, wooden seating with greenery garland centerpieces running up the middle of each table and quaint little vases filled with wildflower stems that matched the flowers on their semi-circle altar and the cocktail hour space was adorned with wildflower details too – and a fun touch they had a temporary tattoo station too! Oh, but there’s more. The details didn’t stop with the decor. The groom, Grady, had a wildflower tie. The bride, Madisyn, had wildflowers incorporated in to her braid. Their dogs each had floral collars that they wore while they walked down the aisle. The groomsmen and the groomsmaid all had wildflower suspenders that matched the groom’s tie and all of the other floral details. The bride wore a super fun jean jacket that paired perfectly with her boho style dress. I’m sure there’s more, but isn’t this already sounding like the most amazing thing? I’ll go ahead and show you and I’m sure you’ll agree.
