When Nicole with The Perfect Touch planning reached out to let me know about Lindsey and Tyler’s small wedding at Lost Lake near Red Feather Lakes I swear my heart skipped a beat. What could be more perfect than an intimate wedding at a frozen lake, horse pulled carriage rides, details galore and a stunning couple? I’ll tell you what: zero things. Zero things could be more perfect than this special day was!
Throughout Lindsey’s planning journey she and Nicole collaborated so perfectly together and had such dreamy wedding day visions that they ended up partnering up and expanding Nicole’s wedding planning business in to an elopement planning and wedding rentals business as well. They sure do make a dream team (which I already knew from years of experience working with Nicole) but the two of them together absolutely takes things to the next level. They are the literal actually wedding and elopement dream team and that totally shines through in the details of Lindsey and Ty’s wedding day.
The Red Feather Lakes venue that they began with was an absolute blank slate. It was actually most commonly used for girl scout retreats and was mostly just a gigantic building in the middle of Red Feather Lakes, but it was the perfect distance away for Lindsey and Ty’s vision of horse pulled carriage rides to their lake front ceremony site. They transformed the inside of the club house building using pipe and drape, white linens, rustic wooden tables, flowers from Lace and Lillies, lanterns, candles, and so much greenery. If there wasn’t actual photographic proof you would not even be able to begin to believe what they transformed this space in to.
Nestled up to Lost Lake in Red Feather Lakes were rows of long wooden rustic benches and an aisle lined with gorgeous floral arrangements. This made for the most quintessential Colorado elopement location. It felt like we were in the middle of the wilderness and there was no one else in the world and nothing else that mattered aside from Lindsey, Ty and all of their best family and friends. When the horse pulled carriages started arriving to the lake through the trees it was like something straight out of a fairytale. Literal, actual, perfect magic.
After exchanging their wedding vows and sealing it with a kiss we took the opportunity to walk across the frozen lake for Lindsey and Ty’s bride and groom portraits and photos with all of their bridesmaids and groomsmen. It was absolutely worth all the cold snowy toes and being on high alert for mountain lions to get those epic photos and they will forever be some of my favorites that I have ever taken!
I am so glad I got to document such an amazing day with details as beautiful as the people that attended and I’m even more grateful that Lindsey and Nicole have partnered up and we get to work together on more incredible weddings in the future. Dream team!
