I have lived in Boulder County since I was 5 years old and have been to the Dushanbe Tea House many times for breakfast, brunch and dinner but in all of my years in Colorado I have never had an opportunity to photograph a Boulder Tea House wedding until now! Ellen and Cameron were the absolute sweetest souls and I am so lucky that they chose to to photograph their intimate wedding with all of their closest and favorite people. The tea house held significant meaning to these two, since when they first started ‘dating’ many years ago they used to write each other little love notes with tea packets attached and leave them for each other. If that’s not the cutest most serendipitous little story you’ve ever heard then g e t o u t because when they told me that’s why they chose this venue my heart just about exploded.
These two got married on the front patio of the Boulder Tea House under a terrace that was covered in ivy. They had their wedding bands passed around to all of their guests and each person shouted out a word that reminded them of Ellen + Cameron and their future marriage together. People shared words like love, commitment, honor, laughter and more. It was one of the sweetest gestures I’ve seen during a ceremony and I absolutely loved it! After the ceremony they shared dinner, drinks and dancing with all of their best people inside of the Dushanbe Tea House and it was absolutely perfect.
