The Lyons Farmette Wedding venue is obviously at the top of my ‘favorite places in the world’ list because hellllllllo they have llamas on the property. The llamas weren’t what stole the show on this magical wedding day, though, because Ashley + Chris and all of their closest humans were just an absolute joy to spend the day with and everything about their wedding day was so them and so wonderful! The bride and groom started their day off with a first look on The Lyons Farmette wedding property underneath a beautiful tree that grows on the lawn of the charming little house that resides on the property. Ashley walked up to Chris and gave him a little butt squeeze and if I didn’t already know it at that point (which let’s be honest, I totally did) the rest of the day was going to be the absolute best. No bad day ever starts with a cute butt squeeze, ok? It’s just a cardinal rule.
Following their wedding first look we headed over to the flower gardens and the greenhouse at The Lyons Farmette venue for some awesome bride and groom portraits, then the lovely couple got to spend some quality time with their guests before their wedding ceremony! If you’ve spent any time sifting through other wedding blogs on my website, my Instagram, or my Facebook business page then you probably have heard me mention a few bajillion times that I’m a sucker for couples that break tradition and make pieces of a wedding day their own. For their wedding ceremony, rather than the tradition of having a parent walk either of them down the aisle, Ashley and Chris walked down their wedding aisle hand and hand before exchanging vows and becoming husband and wife. It was so unique + awesome and I love love loved it!
After the vows were exchanged we converted right in to party mode and sauntered over to the white reception tent that now lives on The Lyons Farmette and Riverbend Wedding property! Their wedding decor was simple, but so elegant (just like the two of them!). They had eucalyptus garlands draped through the center of each family style table with mountain-esque details scattered throughout the property (seating chart, table numbers, even the groom’s tie was a topography map of the A-Basin mountain pass!) Honestly, it’s no surprise though that their florals were every level of magic because Kim with Plume and Furrow never disappoints! Thankfully, that greenery all got put to great use because by the end of the night the guests had all pulled pieces of it to use as props on the dance floor. I laughed so hard at this wedding that my cheeks were hurting. OH, and I almost forgot to mention that (even though the forecast called for wild thunderstorm weather) the weather was perfect and the sunset was even better!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy my rambling, but I hope you enjoy these Lyons Farmette wedding photos WAY more!
