I had the honor of being the second photographer at Alyssa and Dustin’s beautiful Spring wedding alongside Melissa of Plum Pretty Photography at Wedgewood Event Center in Boulder, Colorado. This beautiful couple was particularly special to us because Melissa and I had the pleasure of photographing her best friend Ali and Carlos wedding (here) together also.
One of my favorite things, out of many, about being a photographer is that we aren’t just photographing moments, we’re capturing stories. I specifically remember Alyssa standing next to Ali at her wedding last August and giving the most touching toast, and to see Ali do the same for Alyssa on her wedding day just emphasized the fact that we are so lucky as photographers to be a part of friendships, love stories and moments that will be looked back on and cherished forever.
The wedding day was truly magical. My favorite part is that in lieu of the scripted vows, Dustin and Alyssa read each other handwritten vows that were so heartfelt there was hardly a dry eye in the audience.
It was such an honor to be a part of capturing such a special day!
