Kristen + Tyler’s Wild Basin Lodge Wedding in Estes Park Colorado is one that I will always hold close to my heart. The groom, Tyler, has a son that Kristen has fully accepted as her own child and he was so involved throughout the entire day. I was moved to tears during their beautiful wedding ceremony with a Rocky Mountain backdrop when Kristen not only shared vows with her husband to be, but she shared vows with his son as well. As a single parent, I get all of the feels when wedding ceremonies involve blending families together – especially when kiddos are involved!
Being a Colorado Wedding Photographer for the past 8 years means that I am no stranger to photographing destination weddings in Estes Park Colorado, but this one will definitely be at the top of the list for the rest of forever. Mother nature really showed how a summer day in Colorado can be. When we rolled up to the venue the sun was shining, the bees and humming birds were out and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Storm clouds rolled in, but other than some sprinkling showers the rain held off all the way through their wedding ceremony and it didn’t actually begin to downpour until after Kristen + Tyler’s first kiss as husband and wife was exchanged and they were ready to kick off their super fun reception. The couple even rented a trolley to venture through Rocky Mountain National Park together!
I feel so lucky each and every time I get to be a part of people’s love story!
