As a Colorado wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing stunning weddings at various venues across the state. For couples planning a destination wedding in Colorado, there are several beautiful options for Colorado wedding venues with lodging on site. These venues offer the convenience of having accommodations for the couple, wedding party, and guests all in one location, which can reduce stress and make the celebration more enjoyable for everyone. Even if you live in Colorado, but want your wedding to be a weekend getaway experience for you or your guests, having lodging on site offers a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and natural beauty for couples planning a wedding in Colorado. Bonus: if your venue with lodging on-site is in a scenic area (and most of them are, because hello – it’s Colorado!) it makes it easier to plan a photo session first look the day before your wedding, or an adventure session the day after!
Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park
Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park has two ceremony and reception venues to choose from, The Homestead or The Boulders! This wedding venue also has on site lodging that offers a variety of accommodations for guests. The resort features luxurious suites, cozy cabins, and spacious vacation homes that can accommodate couples, families, and groups of all sizes. Each lodging option is tastefully decorated and features modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Guests can relax and take in the stunning views of the Rocky Mountains from their private balconies or patios. The resort also offers several outdoor activities and amenities, such as hiking trails, fishing, and a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, making it a perfect choice for a memorable mountain getaway. One of my favorite things about this venue is how close it is to the Fall River entrance station for Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes it easy to sneak away for some quick portraits before or after your ceremony! Added bonus: the property is dog friendly!

Cheley Lodge and Grove in Estes Park
Cheley Lodge and Grove provides comfortable and convenient accommodations for guests of all ages. It features rustic cabins throughout the property, that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The Grove offers additional lodging options, including cabins and campsites, which can accommodate larger groups if your wedding guest count exceeds 100 people. If your guests aren’t big fans of cabin camping or glamping using the on site lodging this venue has available, it is conveniently located near Mary’s Lake Lodge, Historic Crags Lodge, The Ridgeline Hotel and many short term rental properties in the surrounding neighborhoods! This dog friendly wedding venue is also located near the Beaver Meadows Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, if you want to take wedding photos in the National Park!

I haven’t photographed a wedding here yet, but I’ve stayed multiple times and even attended a workshop in their event space. YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park
The YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado is a stunning and picturesque location that offers a variety of lodging and wedding ceremony sites to suit every couple’s preferences. The on-site lodging at the YMCA of the Rockies features rustic cabins, lodge rooms, and vacation homes that are perfect for couples, families, and larger groups.
For wedding ceremonies, the YMCA of the Rockies offers several beautiful and unique sites that will make your special day even more magical. The outdoor wedding sites include their mountainside ceremony site, “The Overlook”, which offers stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and can accommodate up to 200 guests. The Sara Smith Chapel ceremony site is another popular option, with its surrounding greenery providing a romantic atmosphere for ceremonies of up to 75 guests.
