Micro-Wedding at Halfway House on Flagstaff Mountain and Flagstaff House Restaurant Reception | Victoria + Marc

The Halfway House on Flagstaff Mountain was the perfect intimate setting for Victoria and Marc’s summertime nuptials. This charming stone shelter and patio is one of my favorite Boulder Colorado elopement locations because it has a beautiful view of the flatirons, is near other gorgeous portrait locations on Flagstaff Mountain, and is conveniently located across the street from Flagstaff House restaurant, the perfect place for an intimate elopement or wedding reception! Bonus: there is even an indoor area if Mother Nature throws some rain or snow at you on your wedding day and guests need a place to stay dry or even move the entire ceremony into the Halfway House.

It only made sense for these two to choose Halfway House as their elopement location because their story began at CU Boulder when they both met while working their student jobs. They became friends first, but after a year of getting to know one another their friendship turned into a relationship and their love story began. Not only did these two meet in Boulder, but they even got engaged on Flagstaff Mountain, which made having their wedding there even more personal and the perfect fit for committing themselves to each other.

Victoria and Marc shared a private first look at Artist Point and had their bride and groom portraits on the beautiful hiking trail before meeting their families at Halfway House for their wedding ceremony. A first look is a great way to spend some alone time with your partner on your special day, have photos taken while you’re still feeling fresh, alleviate any pre-ceremony jitters, and give you more time to hang out with your guests after the ceremony since the portraits will already be finished! After the beautiful ceremony, they headed across the street with their families for an intimate reception with a cake cutting, dinner, and toasts at Flagstaff House.
