Intimate Wedding at The Lodge at Breckenridge and Blue Lakes in June – Photography and Videography | Megan + Jeff

Megan and Jeff’s micro wedding at The Lodge at Breckenridge and Blue Lakes in June came together so beautifully and was such a perfectly sweet labor of love and intention. When the couple first contacted me during the beginning stages of their planning process it was clear immediately that their main goal was creating a wedding day that was intimate, not over-the-top, and had an epic quintessential Colorado view. They knew that when their wedding day arrived they wanted to be able to relax, feel their feelings, be in the moment with their guests and enjoy their time in Colorado. The Lodge at Breckenridge was a no-brainer when it came to choosing the perfect wedding venue to make it all happen!

Megan and Jeff started their intimate wedding day by doing a first look on the Lodge at Breck patio and heading off-site to a local trail near Blue River called Blue Lakes. Having a first look and doing the bride and groom portraits before the ceremony began allowed them to spend the entire evening celebrating their marriage with the family and friends that traveled out to be with them for their destination wedding in Colorado. An epic cherry on top? There were mountain goats on the Blue Lakes Trail during their photo time! Nothing beats a wildlife wedding crasher on your special day in Colorado!

When we got back to the Lodge at Breckenridge Megan did a first look with her Dad before he walked her down the aisle. In the spirit of keeping things intimate and family-oriented the wedding ceremony was facilitated by the bride’s brother! Did you know in Colorado you can self-solemnize and easily have a friend or family member perform your wedding or elopement ceremony? They can even get ordained online if they want to sign your marriage license as an officiant!

After Megan and Jeff sealed their vows by sharing their first kiss as husband and wife they spent the evening playing yard games on the patio at The Lodge at Breckenridge, having dinner with their closest family and friends in the indoor reception space, and being toasted by a few people closest to them. The reception space was beautifully decorated with rentals from The Perfect Touch and flowers from Lehrer’s flowers!

Without a doubt, this intimate wedding at The Lodge at Breckenridge was filled with all of the things that matter most when planning your Colorado wedding or elopement day: an intimate group of people they love, a beautiful view, and a relaxing evening spent with the people that matter most to them. It was such an honor to document their day in both photo and video!
