What’s round on the ends and hi in the middle? Ohio! Sorry, folks, stand up comedy isn’t my thing. I guess I’ll stick to being a wedding photographer ;).

I never blink an eye about jumping on an airplane and traveling outside of Colorado to photograph a wedding! In August, I traveled to Ohio for the first time in my life and was blown away. The humidity was totally a shock, but the perfect explanation for how insanely lush and green everything was. Lake Erie felt like the ocean. The people were amazing, but maybe that’s just because the bride and groom, Kristin and Cam, were amazing people themselves.

Kristin and Cam shared their first look lake-side with Lake Erie as their backdrop. I almost fell over from how adorable their little rock skipping session was afterward. Their ceremony was in the most stunning, green, flower-filled, secret-garden like backyard I have ever seen – and – it just so happened that it was the bride’s grandmother’s property. Seriously beautiful. The property over looked Lake Erie and it was truly jaw dropping.

For their reception, Kristin and Cam had a live band. If you’re considering this at all for your wedding; I highly recommend it. All of their guests, Grandma included, danced the night away. It was a truly magical Ohio wedding.
