These two are getting married in Kansas, but really wanted to showcase their love for Colorado before their wedding. I love that they chose Boulder, Colorado for their engagement session. South Mesa Trailhead is one of my favorite locations. We ventured up the hiking trail, but also wandered by through the trees and found this adorable little area in the creek with a small waterfall. It was the perfect secluded spot for their engagement photos.

I love that Molly + Taylor also included their dog in some of their photos. If you’re asking yourself “should I bring my dog to my engagement session?” the answer is always always always going to be yes.

Having engagement photos done prior to your wedding is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. It is also a great way for the photographer to understand how you and your fiance interact with each other so they know how to make you feel comfortable while photographing your wedding.
