I was SO excited when I learned that Paige and Pierson chose Mountain Crust Event venue for their summer wedding in Colorado! I have been working with Mountain Crust Pizza (the food truck vendor behind this cool new venue!) for years and immediately knew that their Denver wedding was going to be filled with all of the relaxed, fun and well done vibes that are so fun to photograph and that this amazing team of humans brings to every wedding they’re a part of!
Before heading to Mountain Crust Wedding Venue, Paige and Pierson each got ready separately. Paige got ready at her family’s home and Pierson got ready at a hotel in Denver near the wedding venue. I love when a wedding day has a relaxed timeline with enough room for photographing a couple’s personal details and the little moments with big feelings that take place during the getting ready portion of the day. I’m already getting emotional, but you will too when you see Paige’s Grandma’s reaction to her getting on her wedding dress.

Denver Wedding at Mountain Crust Event Venue
The Venue
Mountain Crust Event Venue is the absolute best choice for a wedding that feels fun, relaxed and very Denver! This Denver, Colorado wedding venue has so much personality (which isn’t the least bit surprising considering the mountain crust pizza food truck team is always a blast to work with too!), from the rooftop patio with mountain views to the famous wall of pizza paddles and my personal favorite: the ‘shake ya booty’ tiled entrance to the reception space. Couples can even customize the letters and ledges wall with their names, signature drinks, or little details that make the day feel personal. Mountain Crust Event Venue also has a ceremony lawn for outdoor vows, plus the option for an indoor or outdoor reception with a huge glass garage door that opens everything up and lets the party move easily between spaces. Guests usually head upstairs for cocktail hour, grab pizza from the on-site food truck, and sneak out to the parking lot for photos in front of the colorful graffiti wall. Easygoing, modern, and full of character, Mountain Crust Event Venue is one of those Denver wedding venues that feels more like a big celebration than a traditional wedding, which makes it such a favorite!

The First Look & Couple’s Portraits
After Paige and Pierson got ready separately they headed to Mountain Crust Event venue. Before their guests arrived, they shared a private first look on the rooftop patio and we spent time taking portraits around the venue before their ceremony!
Choosing to do a first look on your wedding day is a great way to calm the nerves and break up portraits throughout the day. This means more time with your guests and prevents photo fatigue from spending the full cocktail hour in front of the camera for group and couple’s portraits!

Wedding Reception at Mountain Crust Event Venue
For their wedding reception at Mountain Crust wedding venue Paige and Pierson chose a mix of traditional events with an added touch of making things their own! They kicked the evening off with toasts from their closest people, dinner from the pizza food truck and their first dance and parent dances. They even included their adorable dog, Archie, in their first dance! I love that instead of only having an open dance floor they also had lawn games, beer pong, a caricature artist and a dessert bar for their guests that didn’t want to shake their booty! It was the perfect evening of fun for all of their favorite people! P.S. peep my favorite detail: their aquarium themed cake and cookies at the dessert bar as an ode to their tropical fish at home!
