Blake came up to Nathan on his first day at her high school and told him that they would be best friends. Blake and Nathan were good friends throughout high school, but both went to college in separate states after graduating. Eventually, they both ended up back in Missouri at the same college and heard rumors that they were both attending. Blake and Nathan connected and the friendship turned into a relationship. Now, these high school best friends are forever sweethearts.

I loved all of the boho undertones incorporated in to Nathan and Blake’s Red Rocks Trading Post Colorado Wedding. Their florist, Sue with Kimball Floral, decorated a gorgeous calligraphy sign depicting their wedding date with boldly colored flowers. The ceremony space had an aisle runner decorated with gorgeous antique rugs and dried flower petals with a sign that read “this is where our love story begins.” This was the perfect sign for such a beautiful love story.

During the ceremony Blake and Nathan chose to plant a tree together. This was their first ‘task’ as husband and wife, rather than cutting a cake. I love how personal this was to them.

Following the ceremony we went throughout Red Rocks in Morrison Colorado for bride and groom wedding photos. These two embraced the full, warm summer sun and frolicked through the hillside for the most darling couples portraits. I love them and I love their rad love story.
