Vail Resorts Weddings in Colorado | Lindsay & Billy
Before their big day, I asked Lindsay and Billy what their favorite hobbies are as individuals and as a couple. Lindsay said “cooking and planning activities,” and Billy said “eating the food she makes and doing the things she plans,” and that’s all the proof you need to know that these two are meant to be. Their Vail wedding at The Beaver Creek wedding deck and Spruce Saddle Lodge was perfect in every sense of the word. They started their day off by getting ready with their closest friends and family members at The Osprey hotel. The couple shared a first look at the base of the mountain before riding the gondola together up to to the Base of lift 8. Doing a first look allowed them to do all of their immediate family, bridal party and bride and groom photos before their ceremony so they had more time to spend with guests afterward – and a storm rolled in right after the ceremony too, so doing all of their portraits ahead of time was perfect! Their ceremony site had a gorgeous view of the mountains, so the couple chose to go with a grounded floral arch rather than a traditional Jewish Chuppah, but still incorporated other Jewish elements into their wedding day, such as smashing the glass at the end of their ceremony! After they sealed their vows with their first kiss as husband and wife they joined their friends and family for cocktail hour, which was crashed by a fox – such a quintessential Colorado thing to happen on their wedding day! Their reception at the Spruce Saddle Lodge was beautifully decorated with flowers from Palmers florist. After hearing emotional toasts from their parents and bridal party they were serenaded by the Diamond Empire Band for their first dance and parent dances. Then, the party officially kicked off with open dancing, a Photo Booth, all the cocktails and an oxygen bar too (such a fun element to include for a destination wedding in Colorado when guests aren’t used to the altitude!). It was the perfect Vail wedding day for such a deserving couple!
