Caitlin + Kyle’s highlands ranch mansion wedding photos were such a dream to capture. They had a morning garden party themed wedding at Highlands Ranch Mansion in Colorado. Prior to the wedding ceremony Kyle gave his (almost) bride a letter and had one of her bridesmaids play the song Hey Jude by the Beatles in the background. He surprised her with tickets to a Manchester soccer game. Their ceremony was officiated by one of Caitlin’s long time friends which really added a personal touch.
I love that after their ceremony, Caitlin + Kyle kept the morning theme rolling with waffles, a scrambled egg bar and yogurt + fruit parfaits. They had brunch with their guests followed up by toasts from the maid of honor; Caitlin’s sister, and the best man; Kyle’s brother. Both the best man and maid of honor shared funny, personal quirks about Caitlin + Kyle’s childhood and kept the whole morning light hearted. I love that after the bride and groom cut their cake, instead of feeding it to each other, they popped a candle in it and gave it to a wedding guest that was there on their birthday.
I have to say my absolute favorite part of Caitlin and Kyle’s wedding day was that they chose to forego the traditional wedding reception and instead had yard games in the lawn of Highlands Ranch Mansion. The couple had a popcorn machine, their signature cocktail; a moscow mule, giant jenga, beer pong, bocce ball and more. Who gets to play beer pong with their parents and friends on their wedding day? Epic, awesome people – that’s who! Their guests really enjoyed their non-traditional wedding ‘reception.’
Following the yard games, Caitlin surprised her groom Kyle with a pretty special getaway vehicle. There was a vintage Rolls Royce waiting for them at the end of their white balloon tunnel exit and the two were whisked away like royalty while the white balloons floated away in the sky!
