Jenna + Austen had a stunning Colorado Springs Wedding at The Historic Pinecrest near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The venue was nestled in the snowy hills of a small town outside of Colorado Springs called Palmer Lake. They decorated their ceremony and reception with gorgeous winter themes – wood slabs, pine and pinecones, and my absolute favorite – pine trees with twinkling lights! It created such a warm and joyful vibe throughout their entire event. I absolutely loved the personal touch of the cake topper – which had replicas of the bride and groom’s heads made by a 3-d printer that the groom put together himself!
They kept their ceremony short and sweet and had a small reading by the groom’s sister of a verse about love from Corinthians. Their amazing wedding reception was filled with emotional speeches from the bride and grooms’ siblings and parents. The bride’s father was prepared with funny stories and cute memorabilia, the bride’s sisters presented the bride and groom with their very own wedding barbies based on a funny childhood story and the groom’s brother gave the most hysterical toast followed by a poem about their “little sister” aka the groom, Austen. There wasn’t a dry eye whether it was from laughter, or the emotional stories shared by all of the family members!
It’s always a humble experience, being able to witness and document such a special moment in couple’s lives. I love the way Jenna and Austen lift each other up. They started two businesses together, laugh together and are so deeply and beautifully in love. It was a pleasure to tell the story of their special day through photographs.
