Vail Colorado Elopement in a Wildflower Meadow | Mattie + Chris

Chris and Mattie’s Vail Colorado Elopement will live in my head rent-free forever for so many reasons. Aside from the fact that the camera loves these two and they got married with a postcard backdrop of a view, they’re just the very best humans to their core. Oh, and they brought along their adorable pup noodle the Schnoodle. (And if you don’t already know this about me I absolutely LOVE when couples bring their dogs to their wedding or elopement day).

Mattie and Chris started their Vail Colorado elopement experience off with a first look at a pond near the condos where they got ready. The groom also shared a sweet first look with his daughter! Then, we walked around the pond and along the river for more photo time!

For their elopement ceremony, we had initially planned on driving up Vail Pass, but thank goodness for weather backup plans because a lightning storm caused us to switch gears and while the pass was being hit with crazy weather, they had gorgeous overcast skies for their backup spot at a lower elevation in Vail in a wildflower meadow surrounded by aspen trees.

After they privately shared their vows, they headed back to the Airbnb in Vail to meet their friends and family for dinner and treats!

I’m so happy to have connected with these two through the bride’s amazing sister and honored to have documented their elopement experience. Here are “just a few” of my favorite moments from their special day!
